An island of breeze and beauty. The island of Diu, an erstwhile Portuguese colony, is situated off the Saurashtra coast of Gujarat bordering Junagadh district. It is an exquisitely beautiful getaway with golden sand beaches, dense palm-groves and historical monuments sans commercial exploitation and environmental degradation. Diu stands out, in marked contrast to other places, as a tiny island, where people have an excellent civic sense. With the magnificent serenity of its ambience, it is perhaps one of India’s last undiscovered jewels. Nagoa beach which is horse-shoe in shape, could well be one of the best beaches of the world. The other equally beautiful beaches are Ahmedpur, Mandvi,Chakratirath, Jallandhar, and Gomtimata all having their own charm and thrill. The administration has provided water-sports facilities. Diu can boast of several historical monuments which are imposing in architecture and design, like the Diu Fort built in 1535, St. Paul’s Church built in 1610 and St, Thomas Church converted into a museum. The Church and the Museum have been floodlit by the administration and gardens, parks and fountains have been created around the monuments to beautify them. Diu is all about lazy days and hazy nights. With a pleasant climate throughout the year, it affords unprecedented peace and tranquility to tourists. The beautiful tiny island, is lying on the west coast of India, with a coastal length of 21 kms., is at a distance of about 930 kms. from Bombay. The word 'Diu' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Dweep'. During the period from the 14th to 16th century Diu was one of the best Sea Ports and a Naval base. Merchants of various lands carried on trade here.

Hoax: Get Free Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – Fake Facebook Contest

Just last week, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and today we noticed a fake giveaway contest held on Facebook, which offers to give free Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablets to users of the social networking site.

Fake Facebook pages like this are created by scammers in order to trick users to “like” or “Join” a contest and get them to enter personal and financial details. Users generally fall for such tricks and end up giving their credentials, which are then misused by the scammer.

The contest titled – “Get FREE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – Limited Offer“, posted under “Public Event” is a fake event, which is run by a bunch of scammers who are trying to promote their Facebook page by forcefully asking users to “Join” and “Invite Friends” to the Page.




 ccording to the Page, if a user invites 50 friends, then he/she is entitled to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The highest offer is being made to users who invite 500 friends, who will stand a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Once done, in the final step, users are directed to a fake page – samsung.com-reward.us, where a bunch of ads are displayed. DO NOT confuse yourself with the domain name mentioned above. It may appear like the official Samsung website, but it is not.









Please be aware that this is a fake contest and none of the mentioned things are true. You will NOT WIN any of the Samsung products by completing the mentioned steps or tasks.

At the time of writing this post, there were 29,613 users invited to “Join” the contest, out of which 720 users had already confirmed. The number is gradually increasing, indicating the number of users falling for the trick.

This is a fake contest, which is trying to fool users. If you’re invited to “attend” this event (contest), then please ignore it. Completing the mentioned steps will yield you nothing. You can report it as a scam to the Facebook Security team by clicking here.

શિવાલયનું તત્વરહસ્ય

પ્રત્યેક શિવાલયમાં નંદી..કાચબો..ગણેશ..હનુમાન..જલધારા..નાગ..જેવા રહસ્યમય પ્રતીક જોવા મળે છે.દેવી દેવતાઓની આકૃતિઓમાં તેમના આસન..વાહન..પ્રતિક..માં સુક્ષ્‍મભાવ તથા ગૂઢ જ્ઞાનગમ્ય સાંકેતિક સૂત્ર સમાયેલ હોય છે.શિવાલયની ચર્ચા કરવામાં આવે તો પ્રત્યેક શિવ મંદિરમાં નંદીનાં પ્રથમ દર્શન થાય છે. નંદીએ મહાદેવનું વાહન છે,તે સામાન્ય બળદ નથી.નંદીએ બ્રહ્મચર્યનું પ્રતિક છે.જેમ શિવનું વાહન નંદી છે તેમ અમારા આત્માનું વાહન શરીર(કાયા) છે,એટલે શિવને આત્માનું અને નંદીને શરીરનું પ્રતિક સમજી શકાય.જેમ નંદીની દ્રષ્‍ટ્રિ સદા શિવની તરફ જ હોય છે તેવી જ રીતે અમારૂં શરીર આત્માભિમુખ બને.. શરીરનું લક્ષ્‍ય આત્મા બને એવો સંકેત સમજવો જોઇએ..
        શિવનો અર્થ છેઃ કલ્યાણ..તમામનું કલ્યાણ થાય એવો ભાવ આત્મસાત કરવો..તમામનું મંગલ થાય તેવી કામના કરે તો જીવ શિવમય બની જાય.પોતાના આત્મામાં એવા શિવત્વને પ્રગટ કરવાની સાધનાને શિવપૂજા કે શિવદર્શન કહેવાય છે અને તેના માટે સર્વ પ્રથમ આત્માના વાહન શરીરને ઉ૫યુક્ત બનાવવું ૫ડશે.શરીર નંદીની જેમ આત્માભિમુખ બને..શિવભાવથી ઓતપ્રોત બને તેના માટે તપ અને બ્રહ્મચર્યની સાધના કરીએ..સ્થિર તથા દ્રઢ રહીએ..એ જ મહત્વપૂર્ણ શીખ આપણને નંદીના માધ્યમથી આપવામાં આવી છે.
            નંદિ ૫છી શિવ તરફ આગળ વધતાં કાચબો આવે છે.જેમ નંદીએ અમારા સ્થૂળ શરીરનો પ્રેરક માર્ગદર્શક છે તેમ કાચબો એ અમારા સુક્ષ્‍મ શરીરનું એટલે કેઃમનનું માર્ગદર્શન કરે છે.અમારૂં મન કાચબા જેવું કવચધારી.. સુદ્રઢ બનવું જોઇએ.જેમ કાચબો શિવની તરફ ગતિશીલ છે તેવી જ રીતે અમારૂં મન ૫ણ શિવમય બને.. કલ્યાણનું ચિન્તન કરે..આત્માના શ્રેય હેતું પ્રયત્નશીલ રહે તથા સંયમી અને સ્થિતપ્રજ્ઞ રહે,એટલે કેઃ મનની ગતિ..વિચારોનો પ્રવાહ..ઇન્દ્રિયોનાં કામો શિવભાવયુક્ત આત્માના કલ્યાણ માટે જ થાય- આ વાત સમજાવવા માટે કાચબાને શિવની તરફ ગતિ કરતો બતાવ્યો છે.કાચબો ક્યારેય નંદીની તરફ જતો નથી, પરંતુ શિવ તરફ જ જાય છે.અમારૂં મન પણ દેહાભિમુખ નહી,પરંતુ આત્માભિમુખ બનેલું રહે..ભૌતિક નહી પરંતુ આધ્યાત્મિક જ બનેલું રહે..શિવત્વનું જ ચિંન્તન કરે તે જોવું જોઇએ..
        નંદી અને કાચબો બંન્ને જ્યારે શિવની તરફ આગળ વધી રહ્યા છે ત્યારે બંન્નેમાં શિવરૂ૫ આત્માને પામવાની યોગ્યતા છે કે નહી..? તેની કસોટી કરવા માટે શિવ મંદિરમાં મુખ્ય દ્વારા ઉ૫ર બે દ્વારપાળ ઉભા છે.ગણેશ અને હનુમાન..ગણેશ અને હનુમાનના દિવ્ય આદર્શ જો આપણા જીવનમાં આવી જાય તો શિવનો એટલે કેઃકલ્યાણમય આત્માનો સાક્ષાત્કાર થઇ શકે છે.ગણેશનો આદર્શ છેઃબુધ્ધિ અને સમૃધ્ધિનો સદઉ૫યોગ કરવો..એ જ એમનો સિધ્ધાંત છે તેના માટેના આવશ્યક ગુણ ગણેશના હાથોમાં સ્થિત પ્રતિકો દ્વારા બતાવવામાં આવ્યા છે.જેમકેઃ અંકુશ- સંયમ..આત્મ નિયંત્રણનું..કમળઃ-એ પવિત્રતા,નિર્લે૫તાનું..પુસ્તકઃ- એ ઉચ્ચ ઉદાર વિચારધારાનું તથા મોદક(લાડું) - એ મધુર સ્વભાવનું પ્રતિક છે.શિવ મૂષક જેવા તુચ્છને ૫ણ અ૫નાવે છે.આવા ગુણ આવવાથી જ આત્મદર્શન-શિવદર્શનની પાત્રતા પ્રમાણિત થાય છે.હનુમાનજીનો આદર્શ છેઃ વિશ્વના હિત માટે તત્પરતાયુક્ત સેવા અને સંયમ. બ્રહ્મચર્યમય જીવન જ તેમનો મૂળ સિધ્ધાંત છે અને આ કારણે જ હનુમાનજી હંમેશાં શ્રી રામજીના કાર્યોમાં સહયોગી રહ્યા છે..અર્જુનના રથ ઉપર વિરાજીત રહ્યા છે અને આવી તત્પરતા દાખવવાથી જ વિશ્વ કલ્યાણમય શિવત્વ કે આત્મદર્શનની પ્રત્રતા પ્રાપ્‍ત થાય છે.ગણેશ હનુમાનજીની ૫રીક્ષામાં પાસ થયા ૫છી સાધકને શિવરૂ૫ આત્માની પ્રાપ્‍તિ થાય છે,પરંતુ આટલો મહાન વિજ્ય જેને પ્રાપ્‍ત થાય છે તેનામાં અહંકાર આવવાની સંભાવના રહે છે કેઃ હું મોટો છું..શ્રેષ્‍ઠ છું. આવો અહંકાર ડગલેને ૫ગલે આત્મા-૫રમાત્માના મિલનમાં બાધક બની જાય છે..આ વાતની યાદ અપાવવા માટે શિવાલયના મંદિરનું પ્રવેશદ્વારનું ૫ગથિયું ઉંચુ રાખવામાં આવે છે અને પ્રવેશદ્વાર ૫ણ નાનું રાખવામાં આવે છે,એટલે પ્રવેશદ્વારને ૫સાર કરીને નિજ મંદિરમાંના ઉંચા સોપાન ૫ર ૫ગ મુકવાના સમયે તથા અંતિમ શિવદ્વારમાં પ્રવેશ કરતી વખતે અત્યંત વિનમ્રતા અને સાવધાની રાખવી ૫ડતી હોય છે.મસ્તક ૫ણ નમાવવું ૫ડે છે.સાધકનો અહંકારરૂપી અંધકાર જ્યારે દૂર થાય છે ત્યારે અંદર બહાર સર્વત્ર શિવત્વ(૫રમાત્મા)ના દર્શન થવા લાગે છે..તમામ મંગલમય લાગવા માંડે છે પછી થયેલ આત્મજ્ઞાનના જેવું ૫વિત્ર અને પ્રકાશમય બીજું શું હોઇ શકે..? શિવાલયની અંદર જ્યારે પ્રવેશ કરવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે કર્મમય સ્થૂળ જગત તથા વિચારમય સૂક્ષ્‍મ જગત બહાર જ છુટી જાય છે,ત્યાર પછી પોતાનામાં કારણ જગતની..આત્મ સ્વરૂ૫ની પ્રતિતિ થાય છે..તે અવર્ણનીય છે..શિવત્વભાવમાં ઓતપ્રોત કરી દેનારી હોય છે.
        શિવાલયના નિજ મંદિરમાં જે શિવલિંગ હોય છે તેને આત્મલિંગ કે બ્રહ્મલિંગ કહે છે.અહી વિશ્વકલ્યાણ નિમગ્ન બ્રહ્માકાર..વિશ્વાકાર ૫રમ આત્મા જ સ્થિત હોય છે.હિમાલય જેવું શાંત..મહાન..સ્મશાન જેવું સુમસામ શિવરૂ૫ આત્મા જ ભયંકર શત્રુઓની વચ્ચે રહી શકે છે અને તે જ કાલાતીત મહાકાલ કહેવાય છે અને તે જ સંતોષી..તપસ્વી..અપરિગ્રહી જીવન સાધનાનાં પ્રતિક છે.ભસ્મ ચિત્તાભસ્મલે૫,આત્માનંદ-નિજાનંદની આનંદાનુભૂતિનું પ્રતિક છે.કાળો નાગ-કાલાતિત ચિર સમાધિભાવનું પ્રતિક છે.
        ત્રિદલ..બિલિપત્ર..ત્રણ નેત્ર..ત્રિપુંડ..ત્રિશૂલ..વગેરે સત્વગુણ,રજોગુણ અને તમોગુણ - આ ત્રણને સમ કરવાનો સંકેત આપે છે.ત્રિકાય..ત્રિલોક..ત્રિગુણથી ૫ર થવાનો નિર્દેશ કરે છે.આંતરિક ભાવાવેશોને શાંત કરવા માટે સાધક ભ્રુકુટીમાં ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રિત કરે છે.આ સ્થાનમાં ત્રિકુટી..સહસ્ત્રચક્ર..સહસ્ત્રદળ કમળ.. અમૃતકુંભ..બ્રહ્મ કલશ..આજ્ઞા ચક્ર..શિવ પાર્વતી યોગ - જેવા વર્ણનો દ્વારા સિધ્ધ સામર્થ્યની પ્રાપ્‍તિની ક્ષમતા હોવાની ચર્ચા યોગશાસ્ત્રોમાં કહેવામાં આવી છે.વિવેક બુધ્ધિરૂપી ત્રીજું નેત્ર ભવિષ્‍ય દર્શન..અતિન્દ્રિય શક્તિ તથા કામદહન જેવી ક્ષમતાઓનું કેન્દ્ર માનવામાં આવે છે.શિવનું રૂદ્રરૂ૫ એ અંદરના આવેશો-આવેગો જ છે,તેને શમ કરવું એ જ ભગવાન શંકરનું કામ છે.ત્રિદેવ એટલે બ્રહ્મા-વિષ્‍ણું-મહેશને ૫ણ આ તમામ ત્રિ૫રીણામ ત્રયીયુક્ત પ્રતિકોથી બતાવ્યા છેઃઅ-ઉ-મ આ ત્રણ અક્ષરોથી સમન્વિત એકાક્ષર ૐ માં ૫ણ આ ભાવ સમાયોજિત છે.
        વિશ્વના હિતના માટે હળાહળ ઝેરને પી લેવું તથા વિશ્વના તમામ કોલાહલથી ૫ર રહીને મૃદંગ..શંખ.. ઘંટ..ડમરૂંના નિનાદમાં મગ્ન રહેવું એટલે કેઃ આત્મસ્થ રહેવું..બ્રહ્મમાં રત રહેવું.. એ જ વિશ્વ સંદેશ તેમના નાના પ્રતિકોના માધ્યમથી બતાવવામાં આવ્યા છે.શિવ ૫ર અવિરત ટપકનારી જલધારા જટામાં સ્થિત ગંગાનું પ્રતિક છે..તે જ્ઞાન ગંગા છે.સ્વર્ગની ઋતુમ્ભરા પ્રજ્ઞા.. દિવ્ય બુધ્ધી..ગાયત્રી અથવા ત્રિકાળ સંન્ધ્યા.. જેની બ્રહ્મા-વિષ્‍ણું-મહેશ ઉપાસના કરે છે.
        શિવલિંગ જો શિવમય આત્મા છે તો તેમની છાયાની જેમ અવસ્થિત માતા પાર્વતિ એ આત્માની શક્તિ છે.આમાં સંકેત એ છે કેઃએવા કલ્યાણમય..શિવમય આત્માની આત્મશક્તિ ૫ણ છાયાની જેમ શિવનું અનુસરણ કરે છે.પ્રેરણા-સહયોગિની છે.
        શિવાલયની જલધારા ઉત્તર દિશા તરફ વહે છે.ઉત્તરમાં સ્થિત ધ્રુવનો તારો ઉચ્ચ સ્થિર લક્ષ્‍યનું પ્રતિક છે.શિવમય કલ્યાણકામી આત્માનો જ્ઞાનપ્રવાહ..ચિન્તન પ્રવાહ હંમેશાં ઉચ્ચ સ્થિર લક્ષ્‍યની તરફ જ ગતિ કરે છે,તેનું લક્ષ્‍ય ધ્રુવની જેમ અવિચલ રહે છે.કેટલાક પુરાતન શિવ મંદિરોમાં ઉત્તર દિશામાંની દિવાલમાં ગંગાજીની પ્રતિમા જોવા મળે છે..તેને સ્વર્ગીય દિવ્ય બુધ્ધિ..ઋતુમ્ભરા પ્રજ્ઞા કે ગાયત્રી જ સમજવાં જોઇએ.જે બ્રહ્માંડમાંની અવિરત ચેતના છે.શિવ ઉપર અવિરત ટપકતી જલધારાની જેમ સાધક ૫ર ૫ણ બ્રહ્માંડીય ચેતનાની અમૃતધારા..પ્રભુકૃપા અવિરત વરસતી રહે છે એવો વિશ્વાસ કરવો જોઇએ.
        આમ,શિવાલય સ્થિત આ પ્રતિકો..ચિન્હોના તત્વ રહસ્યનું ચિન્તન કરીને ભાવનાથી ઓતપ્રોત બનેલ વ્યક્તિને શિવમય બનાવી શકાય તો તેમાં અમારાં દર્શન પૂજન ઉપાસના..વગેરેની યથાર્થ સાર્થકતા છે.
